Code Red Computer Virus

Code Red was discovered on the Internet on July 15, 2001 as a software worm. It targeted computers running the IIS web server of Microsoft.

EEye Digital Security employees Marc Maiffret and Ryan Permeh first found and studied the Code Red worm while leveraging a vulnerability discovered by Riley Hassell. They called it "Code Red"
