Zeus (malware)

Zeus is a package of Trojan horse malware running on Microsoft Windows versions. Although it can be used to conduct several malicious and illegal activities, man-in - the-browser keystroke logging and form grabbing is often used to steal banking information. The CryptoLocker malware is also used to mount it. Zeus is distributed primarily by drive-by downloads and phishing schemes.

First identified by the U.S. Department of Transportation when it was used to steal information in July 2007, it became more widespread in March 2009.
